The story follows the narrative of Bruce Banner and the Hulk following a war which ended in a violent nuclear holocaust that only he could have survived. Okay, so according to Latino Review, Earth's mightiest heroes see Hulk as being too big of a threat and liability, so they send him to outer space at the end of The Avengers 2. This particular event is notable for a couple of reasons. As expected, this doesn't go to plan at all and the team just end up bringing about the Hulk again, with devastating effects. One of the most interesting stories Steranko shared came near the end of the panel, when he recounted the creation of one his most iconic covers: the Incredible Hulk Annual #1. I don't mind the happy ending at all but it should just have ended there. For starters, it marked the end of Hulk Hogan's long run on top in the WWF. The picture above takes place toward the very end of the scene they showed us yesterday at New York Comic Con, and it comes toward the end of a battle between armed forces and the Hulk. The premise of these types of series was that this was the "End" or final story of the Fantastic Four. Peter David's Hulk: The End neatly illustrated this point. I have to say, this is a really neat idea on Marvel's end. This is the 8th volume of the Marvel Premiere hard covers and the first one that I've actually picked up.
